November 1997 - January 1998

The design of Over-the-Air programming facilities for phone systems that incorporate Unwired Planet's Internet browser. The design encompassed the entire system, end-to-end, covering facilities in the handset, communication with the cellular infrastructure, data base management, interaction with existing back-end servers, and user interface for both client and provider.


October 1997 - January 1998

Participated in the WAP standards definition effort with a particular emphasis on scripting language design.


July 1997 - September 1997 a cellular phone provider

The design, prototyping and implementation of a web site that allows people on the Internet to send text-based messages to cell phones. The project involved web site design, user-interface design, and data communications with the client's cell phone infrastructure. The project made use of Glyphic's SMSKit, a library for managing SMS messages and interacting with SMS servers via SMPP.

January 1997 - June 1997 Unwired Planet

The design and prototyping of a new way of using the client's existing Internet browser for cellular phones. The project involved creating a new framework for a new class of cellular phone applications, interacting with cellular phone infrastructures for sending data to cellular phones, design of web-based interfaces for end-users, and the implementation of four complete applications.

Ongoing Projects
November 1996 - February 1997 Envirodata

The design and implementation of a web-based project management system. The project involved assessing client's needs and translating these into an interactive web-based project management system for distributed project progress monitoring.


June 1996 - August 1997 Connectix

The design and implementation of the application PhotoBadge. The project involved developing the feature set, designing the user interface, and implementing on both Macintosh and Windows platforms for simultaneous release.
